Kenneth Pioneer Brown was born December 29, 1956 in Pioneer, Texas. He was raised in an entrepreneurial farm & business family and had little exposure to the arts, yet he drew often for fun. Ken later went on to draw for construction purposes. After an auto wreck changed his life and blinded him in one eye, he started drawing Representational Art.
Brown has had the opportunity to work under E. Petroski and Dayne Dudley. “I am fortunate to have had them as mentors. Among things they taught me were the importance of composition and contrast”. Brown kicked off his art career in 2012 with a solo exhibit in Tulsa. For five years since, he has balanced teaching art in Tulsa with creating new works, marketing, and volunteer work.
With the preferred media of graphite, Kenneth Pioneer Brown specializes in architecture and landscape. Having no formal art education, this self-taught artist works from a different perspective in his own unique style. Brown’s art can be timeless and captivating while stirring emotions and memories. With a passion for creating art, he draws interpretations of places seen and remembered.
